Recently here I was shown a video (Bishop/Tardel) instructions on how to remove perch pins from front axle . using HEAT and IMPACT WRENCH.
I'm going to try their method. Situation is, I do not have an impact wrench. Harbor freight shows a set of tools and wrench combo. As usual they are pretty 'cheaply' priced. Is this tool sufficient to do the perch pin job or would you guys suggest something otherwise ![]() Last edited by hardtimes; 06-25-2015 at 06:36 PM. Reason: air hammer, not impact wrench ! |

Lots of penetrating oil and don't mushroom over the threads. Take your time because the design let in many years of water. Most are rusted in pretty good.
