Although I am an Early V-8 Man, I find Ford Model T cars very interesting.
Please post a photo of your Model T car or truck. Would love to see vintage photos of Model T as well. This Model T is not mine--I shot the photo at Bob's Body Shop, an antique auto friendly shop. Last edited by TonyM; 02-04-2015 at 10:53 PM. |

Mine is a rather common place 26 Coupe, actually produced in October 1925. I loved the 26-27 Royal Maroon color but the car was originally BLACK contrary to conventional wisdom that all early coupes were green. Am thinking of repainting it black.

Here is one of my Dad, car and his dog. It would have been taken sometime in 1925-28. I would like to know for sure what year it is. Anyone know?

I like the way he has the windshield propped open with the gas tank lid.

You guys notice a lot of things about this picture that I never even considered all of these years. Thanks for the observations. May have to dig out some more pictures of this old rig and post them.

Absolutely, post some more pictures! If the wheels came with the car originally it can only be a 1926, since wire wheels were standard in 1927 and wood wheels were unavailable.

The way I read Bruce's encyclopedia, wood wheels were used on the first 1927 cars before wires became standard equipment late in 1926. Bruce doesn't say it, but my guess would be that wood remained an option.
