Installed the 29 roadster Snyder overhauled backing plates and drums and here is the result. Set the brake rods all 4 at 51 1/2 inches and the front brake arm is just where it is supposed to be. Just sent Snyder another set of backing plates for the early 28 pickup. Next is getting it back together and running again.

BTW, I bought one of those lightweight 1 1/2 ton aluminum jacks and sure like it. I also found a non working 3 ton aluminum floor jack at the Iola swap meet last year. It was an easy fix. The 1 1/2 ton is ideal for a jack to carry away from home due to it's light weight, about 25 pounds. BTW, speaking of weight, why does a 40 pound bag of salt pellets feel like the same weight as carrying a Model A flywheel? ![]() |
