Default Deuce gas tank

Does anybody know how much you need to modify a deuce gas tank when installing a quick changer rear end? How much do you lose gallon wise?

Depends on the rear. I've been doing some chassis with Winters V/8 rears and not cutting the tank. The distance from rearend center line to the rear of the case is about 1 inch less than a Halibrand. I also use acorn nuts on the cover for a little more clearance.
