I am trying to remove the doors from a 1953 Ford 4 door. How do you release the stop that keeps the door from swinging open? There are two cams, a VERY strong spring and a cotter pin that capture the "hook" that stops the door. Thanks for any help.

The door stop stays with the door or can be slid out from the inside of the door.
