Default Speedster Project

My brother and I have been working making a bed for my speedster. Three years ago a big cherry tree on my neighbors property uprooted. My brother and I cut six logs out of it plus the firewood. He rough cut the logs in his sawmill. We planed some of the cherry boards down to 3/4" thickness and he cut rabbits on the edges to form a ship lap. We made bed sills to run the length of the frame and glued and bolted the boards to these. This made the bed to appear to be 1 1/2" thick. We also made floorboards the same way. After sanding we applied a cherry stain-sealer to the boards. We brought it back home today and in the spring I will put a finish on the boards when the weather warms up. Yesterday morning when I was going over to his house to work on this my outside temperature reading inside my truck said it was -18 degrees outside. Thought some of you would like to see some of the pictures. Afordman31
