Default cad plating

Does anybody know when white cad and yellow cad became available. I bought a bunch of parts that have been cad plated many years ago by a person that used to build lakes cars.

The spindles and backing plates I would like to use on 32 highboy that I am building as per 1963 look. (high school grad year)

If you are trying for a '63 vintage look, cad was certainly available then. The engineering drawings that I've seen called for in back to the 40s.
