Just purchased a Ammco Shoe Grinder. Would like to make the holding fixture plates that I have seen pictures of. Anyone with a sketch or information they are willing to pass on.

I looked up your model 8000 in the manual,...it has a different clamping system
than the 880. I suspect they should be close. My plates measure,....1/8" X 1.75" X 7.25". The pins are 5/16" X 5/8". Does this help? |

Yes, with the plates, it's consistent. In the Ammco manual,..it states too center the shoe in the clamp. I couldn't do that because the "pins" were right on the edge of the holes,...it wasn't giving even clamping on the shoe. See the photo with the black dots. That's why I made the plates. Post, if you can, a photo(s) of your clamp / shoe set-up if your having problems. Dudley |
