What does this radio go to or is it in fact a truck radio?

You have to look at the box under the dash, to find the Mfg and a serial number. Ford DID make adaptor plates to fit early car radios into the next year vehicle, but off hand I would say yours is an aftermarket Mfg (not a Ford approved). This of course does NOT mean the radio will not work properly. It may not appear as Ford wanted.

I saw this photo on the net, just wondering what kind of radio would have been offered if any for the p/u's of 40-41.
