Default E-Brake lining rivets

Hello! The rivets that came with my emergency brake linings are .144" dia. shank. The rivet holes in the repro band are .170" dia. Do you think these rivets are too small for the band holes?

I measured the e-brake band(original), it's.. .160". I also measured
the rivets @ .140". All the brakes take the same rivets(I believe).
If you have any spare rivets to check and see if it "swells" and
fills the hole when riveted..

d.j. Thanks for measuring. I would have thought that the band rivet holes would also be closer to .140". Unlike solid rivets, the semi-tubular type brake shoe rivets don't really swell when they are set. Just the tube parts rolls over. I would be able to fit 5/32" diameter rivets easily in my band rivet holes. And they would still be a little loose. I'm not sure if I'm thinking too much about this since its just an e-brake.

Well,....I think it's a good idea to check things!

I guess were both think the same, I checked an original brake shoe.
I used "gauge pins",...and it measures .170". I also measured the
semi-tubular used rivet, from the same hole,...it was "swelled" within
.005" of the hole. I think your good to go...
