I have been taking out bushings from several distributor bodies and two pairs of pedals. There is a difference in the inside appearance and I believe the hardness of them.
1. This type has horizontal dashes in parallel lines. The dashes are alternately spaced so one row of dashes is above the non-dashed area of the previous row. This type appears to be a harder material to score with a hacksaw.
2. This type has rows of diamond type indentations arranged alternately and spaced approximately the same as the first type. This type appears to be softer and easier to score with a hacksaw.
My question - which type was used originally and is there any real difference?
My stock of replacement bushings mostly has small circle dimples.
Thanks,
Vic
