I have a late 31 and I know it should be MB but am unsure of the early 30. I looked through my pics and did find one of a car with MB brackets everywhere and black seat frame. If you aren't already I would suggest joining one of the national clubs and ordering the judging standards.

And the Model A woody club "Woody Wagons".

The metal back was covered.

A-153682 Front Seat Back Rear Cover
A-153688 Front Seat Back Rear Wadding (thin cotton padding)

It's wise to paint it (not just primer) to prevent rust under the cover.

You are welcome Hugh, I am not Tim, I just gave you his contact info. No worries though. And Marco is correct of course, the back seat is covered with the same material as the seat. I took your question to mean the metal bracket that is exposed on the edges of the seat where it bolts to the door area. Here is the pic I mentioned earlier. Don't know if it is correct though.

These pic's are not of my car but it is all I could find at this time. I am working out of the country. The material on the back is the same as the seat.
