Default 4 dr sedans

Were all of the 4 dr sedans and town sedans wood framed bodies, or did some of the slant window models have metal structural framing?

The slant bodies were metal with wood strips for attaching the interior panels and wood for framing the top which had a cloth center area.

All earlier fordors were wood frames with metal skins.

Briggs and Ford bodies had a lot of wood. The Murry had much less.

That must have been a steel bodied Slant windshield as noted above OR highly modified. All straight windshield Murray fordor models had door frames like these.

No wood in either Briggs of Murray s/w doors. Nice to know so you can rely on nothing sagging from rotted or dried out wood.

That might be what I sawS/W, It looked factory. The wood shown looks like my doors in a Ford bodied 1930.

The early Briggs fordor bodies had more wood in the cowl. Both Briggs and Murray fordor straight windshield bodies were wood framed . The slant windshield fordor bodies had steel subframes and about the same amount of wood as the tudor bodies.
