Default Weak spark

Tried starting the 39' truck after it was sitting for a year.
No dice,

Have full voltage to the coil and to the distributor on the primary side.
Coil checks OK for shorts or opens.
Changed the condensor

My old Allied Meter shows weak spark at the plug.
All ignition parts have about 5 minutes running time on them.
Coil is NAPA, new condensor is NOS FOMOCO 12300.

It won't ignite ether or fresh gas.
I need more spark.

Can I have a poor ground and get a weak secondary ???

Any ideas welcome.

thanks ahead,
lynn

NOS condenser could have died 40 years ago in the package. Also try slight cleaning (file) of points contacts after sitting that long. Probably the condenser. DD

Just went through this mess with my 39 PU. Try an IH 200 condenser from NAPA. You have to make up a new ground strap for the larger bolt that goes to ground, but that will be a fresh condenser and should work.
