Default 1933 tail amps bezel "real"

1933 tail Lamps bezel "real" How do you tell if they are real and not replicas? Is there a number on the authentic part?

No, but all the replicas I have seen just look inferior. Not cut out or formed as well and a bit of a different look to them (different type of plating). They can look close to original but I always thought I could tell the difference on appearance.

Do you know if the red lens has a number on it?

Not sure on the lens, would have to look at one of mine! At least make sure they're glass. The color really varies with the glass lens.

Not sure of a number but lens should have Stimsonite embossed on it.

Original rims are stainless steel, not plated.

Couldn't remember if they were stainless or nickel.

I jusr recieved a complete repro Tail light assemble from MAC's that has glass lenses with Stimsonite moulded on them. They are nicely made tail lamps but they are newly made repro's. Not bad at all. 30 bucks

I bought some repro '32 taillight assemblies a few years ago, and remember the vendor had two different qualities. I bought the nicer one. They are actually pretty nice and would fool most people looking. Can't remember which vendor though.
