Repop shock that shocked me

This reproduction front shock was mounted over a year ago. The car, being in restoration, has still never been driven. She was just loaded to a trailer earlier this week. After getting home found the left front shock broken. I removed it yesterday and this is a photo that shows what happened. Quality is so bad that the shaft just broke spontaneously. I know some of you warned about reproductions but this is worse anyone can expect. Got them from MACs. It seems they are currently not available. I will look for originals and have them restored.
