Hi guys, I found a new to me website for light bulbs.
http://store.candlepower.com/6sebe.html what I like is they have the super bright 6v tail lights 1/4 of the price as Sacramento and only charge a reasonable shipping cost. I've decided I want to buy all new for my dash, dome, clock, front markers and wherever else. Does anyone list all the correct bulbs needed? Mine is a coupe so it would have one less dome light but I'm looking for reference numbers. This website doesn't have the best research as far as what is needed for certain vehicles.

Go to NAPA's web site and the show all bulbs needed and if you had thought of converting to 12volts they show the change over.

Hi funrunr,
Alternatively I've bought complete kits from this site, and am satisfied with them: http://www.clickonparts.com/Light-Bulb-Kits_c16.htm In the middle of the page you'll see a kit for Ford 35-55. The kit has the the bulbs grouped and wrapped in separate little bags, labeled with the manufacturers part numbers. Since the kits cover several years/models, it does contains some bulbs you won't use. They don't advertise them as super bright, but when I phoned them to ask they said they are the high output bulbs. My experience with them has been good and the bulbs are pretty bright. Hope that helps.

gmc1941, I tried the NAPA site with no luck. I did not see anywhere or under search all bulbs needed.
smtichy, the site you referred to does offer a complete set minus headlighs for $24, however like you stated it does not give the candle power or numbers on the bulbs. I need to buy 50/14 cp bulbs for my tailights, I'm just shy of being able to see my stop lights when it is sunny. Ironically that is usually when I drive the od girl. Thanks to both of you for trying but I still want numbers.

I bet no matter who you get them from, they are made in China. Those have a shiny chrome like appearance vs the old quality USA made bulbs with a brass base. Call Ray Helgers in RI, 401 635 4849, he has all original NOS or NORS bulbs made in USA. He will tell you what bulb you need for where on a '40 and can ship them to you.

hi funrunr, another option is C&G Ford, they have 6V halogen tail light bulb substitutes.
http://cgfordparts.com/wwwsectionfil...lbs.html#BULBS With them it is best to call to make sure you are getting the right part.

I was at Ray's today, getting, among other things good old fashion US made, brass base NOS bulbs. Ray has hundreds of them, and tests them before he sells them. Very reasonable, and a good source for many NOS, NORS or used EV8 parts.
