Default Ford Flathead Generator Identification

Need help identifying this Generator that came on a 36' Ford that I bought some time ago, I've never seen another one like it and would like to know what the original application is. Ford Garage list it as Model 68-10000-A but doesn't state application. Thanks

Maybe I've led a sheltered life, but I've never seen a generator quite like that one.

High output generator installed on vehicles with radio. Mostly used on police cars and taxi cabs. I had one on my 1936 Club Cabriolet and it almost got me gigged for wrong generator at a EFV8CA National Meet. Fortunately Deputy Judge knew what it was and had fun listening to all of judges rants about wrong generator for a while, then he set them all straight. Body is cast iron.

Thanks for the information! All I need is a standard generator, any idea what one of these babies is worth as I'll probably end up listing it for sale.

Probably $20.00 as a core. Not much demand for them.
