Yes, I noticed that too and it is hard to tell but in one of the photo's it appears to be bowing one of the radius rods. Of course it could be an "Illiptical Ollusion".

They're padded so that they won't scratch what is being bent. Drive on lifts are much better.

I think they had it on the lift to add the missing shocks.
