Default Doing bodywork; need pictures of two areas.

Hey guys,

I'm doing some bodywork on my 31 coupe. The usual patch panels and touching up some ruff areas. I need pictures of 30 and 31 coupes in two areas. One is were the windshield post, visor and roof meet. On my coupe there's a small gap or hole on each side, it's about the size of a pinky finger. Is this correct or what could be the problem?

The other area is where the door and cowl area meet. On mine after doing the patch panels the cowl area is about 1/4 of a inch lower on each side, but everything else lines up as far as vertical cowl band edge and alignment to the rear body line at the cowl area. I'm thinking this might be a shimming issue with the wood block at the cowl but not sure.

Any pictures of theses two areas or help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The windshield post area gap is not correct, and likely due to a wood header that has the wrong shape. It will need to be removed and correctly fitted so the front cover can mount up flush with the surrounding sheetmetal. Then install the correct sized cowl welt and you should be good.i

On the door alignment, you providing pictures would be better but I suspect the patch panel was incorrectly installed. Unfortunately I doubt all the shimming in the world would correct that.
