two pics of 1931 coupe right door. i cannot figger what these stampings in inner door panel are for. anybuddy know?

Only the doors on the 1930-1931 coupes have that in them and I have never understood why only that model of door received those extra holes and moldings.

It's for the power window option
the rib is for strength, perhaps the hole was for a different latch handle system that never went into production, but the stamping die already was made to have it, I have been inside a lot of different doors on many makes of cars and a lot of them have unused features |

Exactly! The dies were made at the Tudor length, the parts were run, hence they were used. They must have run the Tudor length first and made a different die for the fordor length afterwards.
