Default Does only Brookville Stamp out Deuce Grills?

I was wondering if there are manufacturers of steel 32 Ford grill shells other than Brookville? I have seen some advertised on ebXy lately that are supposed to be exact copies of the originals, but are under $200. Does anyone know if they are as good a quality as Brookville (same guage steel and accuracy, etc.)? Maybe they are made by Brookville but are being sold at a discount somehow.

southfork. I was at the Grand National Roadster Show and Brookville had there items on display there. I needed a 32 grill shell and insert. They had a complete Brookville set laying there and next to it was a complete Vintique set. The guy says to me,"run your hand upside down with your finger nails on both". So I did. The Brookville insert sounded like a nice firm brummm, brummm.
The Vintique insert sounded like katingggg,,katingggg and very rattle sounding. I paid a little more and bought the Brookville. Much better in my opinion. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

I've used both many times and get the best overall fit with a Vintique shell and Dales insert. That' what I've used on my last several pkg roadsters for customers.

I should have stated also like Krylon said. The insert for the Brookville shell that I bought was made by Dales.

I have a vintique shell & insert & both a very nice, good fit & solid. Bought them on line from gearhead parts in IOWA. Reasonably priced also just stainless not gold plated.

A friend of mine owns a HotRod Shop over here.....I was looking for a gennie grill shell for a car I was building.....he showed me two repro ones, one Vintique and one from Taiwan, I'm guessing but could be wrong ,made by Union Pacific, the company doing the new five window deuce bodies.

The Taiwan version was much more authentic with much better pronounced stamping...the raised part where the front hood strip hinge mounts was very noticeably different...over all a nice product...we compared it to an original and it was as close to the real thing as you will get.
