Default 30 gas gage removal

Don't want to break anything so...
Outer ring removed but remaining assembly appears stuck although it can rotate.

Thought I'd ask for suggestions.

If the outer ring is screwed off it should just fall out. It might be the gasket or brass shim washer holding it.

Thanks, it was shim and pried off with exacto blade. New float n gaskets on.
