Default Suggestions needed

We have a 1931 Model A Town Sedan and I just finished rebuilding the carb and cleaning the spark plugs. The car is running well now. I don't have an air cleaner on the Tillotson carburetor and would like to add one. The one I see advertised says will fit a Tillotson if the throat is enlarged. Well, not sure what that involves. Also, I want to order a new set of spark plugs. The ones in the car now are Champion, C-16-C, but I don't see that advertised. What plugs interchange with these. Thanks for your help.

Woodrow - It is usually not recommended putting an air cleaner on a Zenith carburetor because it messes with the fuel/air ratio. I would guess it would do the same to a Tillotson, but since I don't use/have one; I can not confirm that. There is a modification some make to overcome this issue; it involves making an air path modification to equalize the air pressure between the intake and the bowl. (Others may have specific info on this, I don't.)

As for sparkplugs, I have a PDF from the Rocky Mountain A's with much info pertaining to said plugs. It is too big to attached to this reply, so I will PM you and you can reply so I can email it to you.

It seems like one of the vendors now offers a filter adapter for the Tillotson, can't remember which one though.
Regardless, its not hard to enlarge the throat.
