Default Front brake shafts

I have new front brake shafts and pins, most say to heat the pin to cherry red to peen them over, I also hear they can be done cold, what is used to upset the pin to obtain a nice round finish.
Thanks Brian T.

Use a 2X rivet gun to achieve the proper shape peening the rivet cold. Correct tools for the job, Sir, ...correct tools. BTW, a rivet gun if WAY different than an air hammer!!!

Brent,

I don't have a rivet gun, although I probably could borrow one from my Guard Unit, will MAPP gas be hot enough to soften the rivet head?
