Is anyone following the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale auction? There was a 1931 Sedan Delivery - #877 - scheduled for Thursday and I would love to know what it sold for. Thanks.

Although BJ is interesting, it's why many think their old restored car is worth $100+k.

The last time I watched was when a 1967-8 {?} Chevy SS Whatever was
being auctioned. When the bidding got over -$959,000.00-....... ![]() ![]() Bob-A ![]() |

Sign up and log in here. I had an exact bid last night but didn't win the tablet because I wasn't the first with the correct bid so you have to be quick. Still fun and all bidders are in the drawing for a 450 HP F 150. Good Luck

Was talking to a friend last evening that was at the auction on Monday and it is real interesting the rates the auction have. $500.00 for a bidder's card, letter from a bank with $ amount that you can purchase. !0% seller's fee, 10% winner's fee + state sales tax. Those fees are added to the sale price. We here in AZ appreciate the auction as brings in extra money to the state in the form of taxes and accommodations for those attending. Please send more vehicles to the auction and raise the prices as the state needs the income.

I have been 4 times.....a real car show. There are 4 auctions going on around town, really a treat. Also went to a cruse night that must of had a few thousand cars. I cannot afford the ridiculous prices but you really get to see some neat cars.

IIRC the seller's commission is 8% not 10%. The buyer's commission is 10%.

SkipShift, was that Roadster the hammer price??
$41,000 purchase price 3,200 buyer's penalty 500 Cost to get a bidder's number/admission 2,000 Transport to say the Midwest 2,000 Illinois State sales tax on an antique car of 40K 1,000 Motels, food, gasoline wear and tear on your vehicle or car rental fees or airline, car rental, etc. ----------- $49,700 approximate total cost of car So, your knocking down 50 grand for a 40K Roadster. It's not just an auction,,,,it's a lifestlye ![]() |
