Default Ammco Brake Shoe Grinder Belts

FYI
Mike Brewster @ Friction Works sells replacement pads for the Ammco machines. I have been looking for replacements for my 8000 for a year or so and was tickled to find he has a replacements. The old style is not available, he sells a kit to modify the drum and replacement belts.
40 grit.
Great to deal with and ships right a way.

Tim,

Wished we would have talked about that Sunday morning. I have an
880 Ammco that I've had about 15 years, and never used. The fellow
at www.frictionworksllc.com sent me his information on his belt replace-
ment "kit".
There is a business here that makes custom belts, any size. The bar I
made here at work in less than an hour. How does it compare to the one
you have?

I checked Goodson's (page 116)before I made the part, they don't have
the correct belt for this type of Ammco machine. Models 8000, 890 and
880, popular machines, all take a unique grinding belt. I do appreciate the
help.

I sold my Model 2000 a couple of years ago as I cold not find the right attachments for the Model A brake shoes. I played with several ideas, but never got it right. I keep my eyes open locally for an 880 or 8000. My drum was in good condition. Rod

Rod,
I assume the "clamping pins" were too close to the holes? I solved that
problem with this set-up that I made.......make sense?
