Default V12 Engine Removal

Removed the engine this afternoon from a friends 39 Zephyr. It can be done with the hood on.

Lincoln V12s are the coolest engines ever made.

That's some serious weight there Ken. I'm still searching for one of those KR Wilson engine stands

Looks like you are havin' fun Ken. That sure is a nice engine stand, I'd love to have one of those.

I have seen pictures of engines installed at the Lincoln factory with the hood installed.
They used a large "C" shaped attachment between the engine and the hoist with the hood in the opening of the "C". It appears cumbersome, but I guess it worked for them.

Ken,
In my younger days... (early twenties) I took the engine out of my '40 coupe without removing the radiator.... I was trying to save time I guess or prove I could do it... I did... but had I messed it up it was a perfect original. I strobe early V8 and V12 distributors on my heyer sets so let me know if you need any help on the distributor.
