Default Flathead Ted's wedge issue.

Installing fronts and finding the A-2050 wedges from Snyder's are very loose on the wedge studs. Is this a problem? An original wedge and a NOS Ford wedge are about .616 in thickness while the Snyder wedges are about .586 thick.
When wedge stud assembled, the original and NOS exhibit about .015 clearance while the Snyder's have about a .040 clearance. They slop around quite a bit.

What think'est you?

Mmmm, no response. not sure who else is a supplier/manufacturer of these wedges. If you know alternate manufacturer, please let me know. If you have new Repro wedges, would you take a minute and measure their thickness, please.

Thank you, Don

Hi Don,
I'm currently responding with Ted. He's very responsive, and with the time difference I'm sure if you email him he'll respond late this afternoon our time. I'll PM you his email address.
I have a problem with my left front brake not operating. I don't think it's a problem with his product, as I had the problem before doing a complete rebuild on my brakes. I asked for his help as an expert on brakes to try to figure this one out.

Hi Don,
I thought I sent you a Private Message, but apparently it didn't work. I just sent you the address by email. Maybe I'm doing it incorrectly. If you don't receive it shortly, let me know and I'll try something else.

This is Ted's email address taken off the Flathead Ted website:

[email protected]

I didn't know that he made the wedges! His website does not have that wedge listed as a product. I would contact Synder's to ask about the wedge first.

Hope you get a resolution to your problem. I have had his floater system for several years with no problem.
