That rib thing runs up to the lug nut hole instead of between them. i cannot find a decent picture of a 1927 wheel that might have been different.

Apparently, there were some 21" s produced without the bead edge. They had the rim edge same as 1930'31 19"'s.
A couple of FBers have posted pics of them . If you have a set, I would use them, as a talking point.
The so called AR wheel had a bead edge rim like all 21's, but the hub area was slightly different shaped to fit the early type drums, the rears without the separate brake band.

Could they be the early 28 or (AR) wheel?

I recently toured Mike's Affordable Model A parts in Georgia. Mike has one of these wheels mounted on the wall by his front door. He knows some of the history behind it.

I am enclosing a picture of a 26/27 wheel for comparison.

I too have encountered a couple of 21's like you show and I have always suspected they were someone's aftermarket wheel. Maybe not.??.

I saw several of these 21" wheels without the bead edge in Brazil. Has anyone from Argentina seen them there too?

These wheels actually belong to a old friend of mine, and he did import 4 model A,s from Argentina some years ago, now I'm thinking this is where these wheels came from.
