Default Correct Heater Control Mount For A 40 Deluxe?

I am installing the correct 1940 heater assembly in my '40 wagon. The defrost side has no cable and is manually switched on the case of the heater. Wondering what the correct mounting for the blower switch is??

There is a hole in the lower lip of your instrument panel - just right of the steering column. The switch mounts in that hole.
The correct switch is rather rare these days. The quickest way to set it apart from many purported to be "correct" is the '40 switch has screw type terminals.
The photo I've attached depicts the correct heater, placement as well as the correct switch and its placement.

Thanks for the great information. I got lucky and got a correct 1940 switch with my heater with the threaded terminals. Do you happen to know the value of the two resistors on the back of the switch? I think they are burned out. At any rate, I want to replace them with carbon types as opposed to the old wire wound type.

Thanks, Phil Swanson
