1950 Ford Steering Box Rebuild
Hi All,
Would anyone know of an instruction guide for rebuild of a 1950 Ford Steering box. The Green Book is ok but not great on the topic. Thanks, Steve |

There are several sources, info on Van Pelt's site. Number of articles written on the topic and Vern's mini-book.

Van Pelt's site has five pages of instructions,
Bill http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/f...ordcar-pg1.htm Link does't work , go to Van Pelt sales/parts drawings and look under steering gear. Last edited by bbrocksr; 09-22-2021 at 01:52 AM. Reason: add info |

Re: 1950 Ford Steering Box Rebuild
That is the Ford Green Book version, my mesh seems to be off a tad. Trying to find another explanation of how the gears mesh during assembly. Thinking that the key-way in the steering shaft should be exactly 180 off from the pitman arm notch..?
