Default 1932 Roadster Door Panels

Can anyone tell me:

- What to use as the door panel backing? (Wood?)
- Does anyone sell pre-cut door panel backing (ready to be upholstered?)
- Where to obtain the spring clips that attach the door panel to the door?

I have a steel bodied Brookville, with the small holes on the perimeter of the inner door to accept the spring clips.

Anyone have pictures of a door panel in the works and/or installed?

Thanks!

Heavy cardboard was used originally and still is. You can obtain pre-cut door panels (ready to be upholstered) and the spring clips that are used with them from LeBaron Bonney Co. (www.lebaronbonney.com).

Shown below are the exposed side of an original upholstered deluxe roadster door trim panel and the inside of an original standard roadster panel (which unlike the deluxe version, did not have pockets).

I used .32 thousands alum. for mine in the roadster as you don't have to worry when you get caught in the rain about pannel warpage. Works great.....I ran in the rain just the otherday coming back from bonneville and it was like someone was pitching 6 gallons of water in the right side as I went by every big rig. Lot's of water in the roadster.
Easy to work with and will not deform when it gets wet....
