Default 1939 Jefferson Blue - Paint Code?

Hi all,

I just picked up a 1939 Ford Convertible Coupe that needs a paint job. I'd like to get it done in Jefferson Blue. Does anyone have a modern paint code I can give my painter so he can mix the correct color?

Here's the car. Builder did a really nice job on everything but the paint - it looks okay in the picture but has a lot of orange peel and drips when you get up close. I figure that's as good an excuse as any to change the color.

Thanks for any help.

Nick

Does Jefferson Blue = Washington Blue = Sheridan blue? You might be able to find codes for the latter two. There's been a few threads about those.

I was wondering that - did they actually change the color itself or just the names over the years? They definitely look similar to my eye.

Toyota Hiace vans in dark blue look pretty close.
