Default Transmission tower shift forks

Is there any place that repairs transmission tower shift forks? One of my dad's is worn in certain places and he's interested in repairing it.

I found one place that sells them: https://www.mikes-afordable.com/product/A7230.html

Also, is there anywhere I could find plans for this?

Is there a reason only one store, Mike's, sells transmission shift tower forks? https://www.mikes-afordable.com/product/A7230.html

What is the quality like?

Bratton's and Snyder's and I am sure others have them.

I had a local machine shop repair mine, it's usually a simple job to weld up and file the worn parts back to spec. Probably cost less than $50 if you can find a small shop to do it.

What shape is the ball on the shift lever in? Getting that out is the hard part.

I restore them in my shop. As far as plans, I guess you can buy the print from Benson Research Center like I did and restore to the printed dimensions. One thing to look for is you need to have a fixture where you can check for bent forks. I often find they are bent needing to be realigned so the gear is fully engaged.

Pretty easy to check if they are bent by putting two together on a shaft.
