Does anyone sell new top iron assemblies for 1933-34 roadster? Also are there any stanchions sold that are already chrome plated?

I bought my top irons from Macs, made by
A company called Girtz or something like that. Excellent quality. I bought a set of stanchions from Speedway , but Had bad luck with them and sent them back. They discontinued them some time ago And I was lucky enough to find a set of originals, much better than the cast bronze ones. |

Let me share information from my experence.
Try to locate an origional pair of steel windshield post. The details are nice. 'ALL' of the brass repops are made by Vintique, and dist. thru various retailers. They are nice, but it depends on the machine work done before plating, and the care and detail the plater does as to the perfection of the finished posts. Wescott sells a finished/chrome (brass) set. The only retailer to sell a finished product that I know of. Nice people to do business with +++ Top Irons. A company named "GRRTZ IND." use to make reproduction top irons. Girtz has been bought by "SUPERIOR CAR PARTS". They still make stainless steel top irons. nice. (765) 564-4200 They might want you to purchase the irons thru a retail vender ??? Your next item will be the wood bows. "OAK BOWS" in Chambersburg, Pa. (717) 264-2602. First class stuff !!! You probably can buy all of this from Wescott. One stop shopping $$$ Or many other venders. These phone numbers might need an update. It's been awhile since I have used them Have fun Bill Herbert |
