Here's a stud from a '54 Mercury rear axle. As you can see, it's in bad shape. I want to replace all 10 of them (5 per axle).
Are these studs common? By that I mean might they be used in other than '52 through '54 Ford and Mercury cars? I want to find some USA axle studs, either NOS or modern that fit. No Chinese stuff. Any sources will be much appreciated. |

According to EIS book, stud D1932 was used 49 to 68. It was superceded by stud D1926. Here you go: AMC 58-72, Buick 61-70, Cad 60-70, Ford 49-73, Merc. 52-76, Olds 42-59, Chev/GMC trk 71-89, Ford trk 48-80, Checker 69-71, IHC 60-77, Linc. 68-71, and a few more.

fwiw, i used a Dorman #610-234 [1/2-20x1 5/8] in some `39 lincoln hubs and re-pop lincoln drums. you will have to ream both to .600" [the shoulder is .600" and serrated where it goes thru the hub
