I try and do a little maintenace on the 31 Coupe each year. Last year it was the front brake inspection and repack bearings. This year, inspect the rear brakes, bearings etc. Just to ensure that I have all on hand that might be needed, I ordered axle shims, keys, fiber washer seals, nuts and washers... all just in case needed. The car only gets driven a few hundred miles a year, so brakes likely OK. Anything else that I might need to have on hand?
Oh, I should add that all seems good, drive the car frequently around town, however this will be the first look at the hubs in about 50 years. Model A's are great !! Joe B PS, I hear that the repo rear bearings are not very good, hope that they are not needed. |

The only think that I can add is, if it’s not broken, don’t fix it!
50 year old parts in most cases are better than new replacement parts. Good luck. |
