Having issues with the front drum brakes on my 56 Fairlane pulling left or right. All new wheel cylinders, hoses, shoes and hardware, turned drums. They will work good until I put about 100 miles on them and then I have to remove the drums and clean the dust out and good for another 100 miles or so. Could it just be inferior material on the shoes?

You’re getting enough dust in 100 miles to make the shoes hang up on the backing plates? Am I reading that right? Just cleaning it out, not re adjusting the shoes ? Were the shoes “arc’d” to the drums, or a good initial fit for curvature?

I have the same problem with my 54 customline. I just about eliminated it by readjusting the sliding anchors,
