Default Steel or cast-iron drums currently on my car?

How can I figure out if I have steel or cast-iron drums on my A? Thank you.

Post a photo of the edge of the drum where it is close to the backing plate and you will be swamped with answers.

Steel usually has a higher pitch ring when hit with a small hammer. Steel has a thinner profile and less weight also.
