Default 31 roadster trim paiting

How was the trim painted on the cars at the factory , masked off or hand done ?

Hello, if you mean the revels and belt molding, they probably had masks that they would use to tape off the body , the pinstripes were hand done. I never heard how exactly the factory, would two tone the cars but it seems like they had to have some sort of masking system, on a production bases be time consuming to mask off and paper like we do on a restoration.Hopefully get more responses.
