Hi Folks, Fixed I made the broke part
I’m trying to figure out how to fix my driver side door mechanism. I’ve tried fixing the parts that are broken as well as cannibalizing from other mechanisms I’ve purchased off of eBay. I just really need to replace the broken one I have with something that will work. I still need to be able to lock the doors. I’ve looked at the 1940-1947 FORD TRUCK DOOR LATCHES - ALTMAN EASY LATCHES https://triquemfg.com/collections/fo...=7185121935418 , however they say they will not allow for the inner handle to be pushed forward locking the door. I’m sure somebody’s figured this out. If you have, please enlighten me on how you fixed your door.

Did your door ever have a locking mechanism? Surely someone can help.

Yes, it is the original and has the whole mechanism. However, the pieces keep breaking in the inside of it, and it makes it hard for me to open up the door. Sometimes I have to go to the passenger door to open it.
