Hello to all in T land
I acquired a 1918 T Roadster awhile back, though it has electric start added and changed to a steel firewall. It was running pretty rough and I started down the road of troubleshooting. In the process, I took all the spark plugs out and performed a compression test. 40 PSIG on all four holes. I'm doing this at 7000' elevation so if you add 25% compensating for altitude, round numbers, it would be 50 PSI at sea level I am thinking that is in the ballpark of acceptable for a T engine. Agree or disagree....?? I've got it running well, it's remarkable what rebuilding and timing coils will do in conjunction with a new timer! Thanks |

Even at sea level, 40 would be ok.
