I was just reading about dirt track racing in the 1960s and the preferd plug was a 295 autolight . I use a 216 in the 49 I never heard off a 295 has anyone tried a 295?. jack

Not sure about 295's, but I found out Rock Auto offers the best prices on spark plugs.

Was probably the plug to use for "dirt track racing" conditions so I wonder just what miraculous improvements would happen by using them in a daily driver?

My guess is it would be a cold plug for racing. Probably not good for the street.

295 is shorter threads...so maybe for aluminum heads but not for stock.
It´s not a cold racing plug design...same design as 216...insulater and electrode same. |
