Default Powerhouse field coil

Recurring issue with connections between field coils on a 5 brush powerhouse. The copper wire broke twice in the past but I was able to pigtail a repair. This time a wire broke again but I noticed that there was some movement in one of the field coils, flexing the wire. Even though the screws holding the coil are staked the coil will move slightly 1/64 toward or away from the pulley.
I would like to avoid removing the staked screw and use an adhesive between the coil and generator housing. If anyone has had experience with this I would appreciate their advice.
