Default The number of brushes on generator?

Did a lot of reaching and reading, but I still have ?,s. Can't find my answer on my own. I have a generator that came off a late 31A but I suspect it's not an "A" generator. It has FOUR brushes in it and the cutout does not look like the pictures of new ones for the "A"s. I'm not able to see which brush to adjust to lower the amps. It works fine but it 's putting out 10-15 amps which I understand to be too much for daytime driving. For now I've just been running the headlights after 10 or 15 minutes.

Can you post a picture of it? I haven't seen a 4 brush generator, except for the 5 brush powerhouse when my EVR is installed and the adjustable 5th brush is removed.

Of course the powerhouse is more alternator shaped.

SuperCab:

Easy way for pics:
Click the "blue post reply" lower left bottom of page, when text box opens, in the top middle of the bar you will see a "paperclip" click that, a window will open "manage attachments" click "choose file" then pick your picture, after you picked up to seven pics click the top "upload" on the right hand side of the text box, wait for it to upload.
You must type something, anything into the text box message, scroll down to see "preview post" at bottom of your text box, you should see your message as it will appear when you post, if you like it click "submit reply" to post.
Easy-cheesy
