I have a Briggs 60B made in early Jan. 29. Yours is probably a 60A which should have the same seat if orig. My seat is not adj. which I believe began with the 60C. My seat cushion sets on a U shaped wooden base. There is 13" from the front of the wooden base to the back side of the gear shift tower casting. When the seat cushion is in place there is 7" from the front of the cushion to the gear shift lever when it's in neutral. There is 10" from the front curved corner of the cushion to the front door pillar, the area where your legs would pass through when entering the front seat area. I'm 6ft & there's not a lot of room getting my size 11 shoes in w/o hitting the door panel. I took lots of pictures when I was doing the upholstery. If you send me your e-mail I can send some pictures of the seat platform etc. Good luck, Perry, Snohomish Wa.

Here's a couple pics that show location of seat in relation to the center door pillar where it mounts to.

I have a 28 leatherback with an original interior. I took a bunch of photos which can be seen in my album. Let me know if there is another photo you need.
