Default Super 97 carb tips?

Hi guys, purchased a triple carb manifold and new super 97 carbs to run on my warmed over 8ba. having some tuning problems . We are using progressive linkage using a primary and two secondary carbs and have adjusted as per directions .at low driving speed we are experiencing a rich condition and several times we have flooded the engine with a lifted or stuck float. We are going to check out the primary carb to make sure the float is adjusted properly and there is not dirt or junk in it.
Our fuel pressure is adjusted to 3-4 pounds. We have been told that we might want to change out the needle valve.
Any one have any a experience with these carbs!.
Thanks for helping.
