I need a fuel pump for my 37 Cabriolet.. I have a car show to attend next week and just noticed mine is leaking. No time to send off for a rebuild although I will have mine rebuilt. Mine has a glass bowl.. Is that the right one for my car? Where is a good place to get a replacement by next weekend?

The glass sediment bowl pumps came out in '47 - '48. Your '37 would have originally had a stamped steel top FP w/o a glass sediment bowl. Where is your pump leaking from now, around the diaphragm/gasket between the two castings or possible from a small hole in the lower area of the bottom casting? You might be able to stop the leak by tightening six screws holding the castings together. Some of the after market pumps available do not have alcohol resistant diaphragms and/or the internal spring under the diaphragm has too much force causing fuel pressure to be too high.
Your best bet is to have one rebuilt by Ken Ct or Charlie Ny. Either one of these guys may have a rebuilt one ready to go and could have it shipped to you before your car show.

Not leaking around the flange.. Wish it was that simple. My car is not totally stock so now I am faced with the decision of rebuilding my 47-48 pump or replacing it with the correct one. I suppose the sediment bowl is a good thing so I am leaning towards rebuilding the one I have. Any thoughts on using the later pump on a 37 engine?

I do not think your pump (Glass bowl type) can be rebuilt unless it is an AC. Call Ken Ct and see what he says.

There is nothing wrong with using the later glass bowl FP on your '37. You asked if the glass bowl pump is the right one. The FP that came on your car originally was an earlier version with a dome shaped stamped steel top. If you are not concerned about originality, stay with the later '47-'48 glass bowl version. I also prefer using the later glass bowl pump on my '35 driver. I like to use a filter in the glass bowl rather than using the type that fits into the gas line. These are pictures of the pump I rebuilt and have been using on my car since 2007, for the last 26,000 miles.
