Default The Monster is Stirring – The Rebirth of a 1729 Cubic Inch 1913 LSR Car

Soon vintage car enthusiasts from around the world will be able to witness a sight and sound not heard for close to 100 years. The clock is ticking, and Duncan Pittaway and his helpers are working overtime to finish up one of the most impressive pre-World War I racing cars ever built, the Fiat S.76.

See over a dozen photos of the work in progress of the assembly of the MONSTER four cylinder engine that has a 7.5-inch bore x 9.843-inch stroke with a 1729 c.i.d. (28 liters) it produces 300-h.p; each cylinder displaces 432 c.i. See the complete story on The Old Motor.
